Sacred Studies

Visioning - winter 2012

Using the visioning process, we learn how to open ourselves to God’s highest and best vision for our lives, our community, and our world. Visioning is a specific process that combines elements of meditation and prayer to listen, to see the Divine picture of who we are, and willingly embody it into the way we live. Prerequisite: Foundations.

Power of Your Word - winter 2012

This class takes a deep look at the philosophy of Science of Mind and the power of Spiritual Mind Treatments. Topics include affirmations, creative law, treatments, clear thinking. Prerequisite: Foundations.

Foundations of Spiritual Living - fall 2011

In this powerful class you will examine the basic principles of Science of Mind and uncover old beliefs that may be limiting your life right now. Learn in a safe and supportive environment, where you can deepen your spiritual understanding at your own pace and discover the hidden riches within. Meditation and Spiritual Mind Treatment are taught as daily practices. This class is experiential with many guided meditations and exercises to assist students in embracing and incorporating Science of Mind principles. 

Self-Mastery: Emergence of the True Self - fall 2011

Gain mastery in the art of living as a conscious, intentional being. The self-Mastery class focuses on healing the perceived separation between the personality and the Spirit which is the True Self. Strengthening this awareness occurs through an active exploration of the creative nature of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions.

Body/Mind Connection - summer 2011

Discover the essence of healing in this powerful, eight-week accredited course. Claim your power of healing now as we explore the mysterious mind/body connection and the important role that consciousness
plays in the healing process.

Foundations of Spiritual Living - spring 2011

In this powerful class students enhance their spiritual connection to the universe, discover their emerging direction and purpose, and how to make it happen. Learn spiritual principles and practices that will change your life for the better forever. In this class, students participate in this adventure with other likeminded individuals in a safe, supportive environment and frequently make lifelong friends.

The Essential Ernest Holmes - spring 2011

This class delves into all of Ernest Holmes’ writing, feasting on his quiet, devotional writings as well as his impassioned, chalk-in-hand teachings to future leaders. His love of people and facility for seeing past their problems into the heart of their eternal being anticipated modern psychology while relating the human condition to a limitless ability to choose what to think and to feel.

Visioning - winter 2011

Upon completion of this eight-week certificated course, you will be awakened to the transformational nature of Visioning, understand and know how to complete the Visioning process, understand the organic nature of manifestation, and be aware of its implementation in our spiritual community. Apply the Visioning process to: personal transformation, aspirations, and goals; group or community growth; planetary transformation

Edinburgh Lectures by Thomas Troward - winter 2011

This eight-week certificated class features active discussion, inner work, sharing, and experiential exercise to give you the opportunity to make Thomas Troward's incredible teaching come to life. Troward was a judge, a mystic, and incredible thinker who strongly influenced Ernest Holmes in his creation of the Science of Mind. He wrote extensively on the creative process and gives a step by step explanation of how an idea comes into form.

Topics include: Distinguishing between Spirit and Matter, Understanding the Unity of Spirit, Outlining the Subjective and Objective Mind, Applying the Law of Growth, Differentiating Causes and Conditions, Understanding the Healing Process

This Thing Called YouThis Thing Called You book cover - winter 2012

A six-week series based on the book, This Thing Called You, by Ernest Holmes. The study of this classic metaphysical book in small groups allows each participant to discover more about the essence of their being and to develop intentional means for living a life based on spiritual principles.

 

 5 GIFTS for an Abundant Life - fall 2011

5 gifts book coverAs part of the fall program Be the Light: Grow, Serve, Shine  the Circles too a six-week journey to BE the Consciousness of Wealth. We learned to give our five GIFTS of Gratitude, Intention, Forgiveness, Tithing, and Surrender based on the book, “5 Gifts for an Abundant Life” by Diane Harmony.

Spring Into Vision - spring 2011

Spring into vision artworkThis four-week series on the spiritual practice of visioning was based on the Life Visioning Process by Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith. Visioning deepens our experience of letting go and allowing consciousness to do the work. Through our May circles, each of us became adept in this powerful tool for transformation.

The Seven Whispers - winter 2011

This seven-week in-home study program, based on The Seven Whispers: Spiritual Practice for Times Like These by Christina Baldwin was offered winter 2011. In The Seven Whispers, Christina Baldwin teaches us to listen to the inner voice that originates from each of our souls: the voice of spirit. Though we may call this voice by whatever name has meaning for us— intuition, spirit, or God— hearing this voice is a universal human experience. The Seven Whispers is built around seven phrases—or whispers—giving us a personal guide for finding and listening to that voice. A powerful call to re-envision our lives, The Seven Whispers delivers a wonderfully inspiring yet practical spirituality for times like these.

Living Between Two Worlds - fall 2010

This four-week in-home study program, based on Joel Goldsmith's Living Between Two Worlds was offered fall 2010. Members participated at any one of five locations facilitated by different CSL-Olympia members' homes for an informal, intimate conversation group to deepen our experience of spiritual living.

Your Soul's Journey: Who Have You Come Here to Be?

Rev. Libby O'Day led this four-session workshop for women: an in-depth exploration of the primary symbols and archetypes informing your life today. Deepen your awareness of the essence of your life – what drives your relationships, habits and dreams through the use of meditation, journaling, archetypal-collage, and group process.

New Thought, Ancient Wisdom

John Mulhall, RScP, led this 10-week course to help students develop skills in perceiving and reading energy to consciously understand what these energies indicate and how they can be used to heighten awareness of who and what we really are in the body and beyond. This is an opportunity to explore the dynamics of spiritual energies and expand the journey to greater awareness and higher consciousness.

Creating Abundance for Life

Led by practitioner Barbara Hart, this class teaches long-tested and successful techniques to assure abundance from the outside in. Barbara has taught this class in three states with "miraculous" results for many of the students. Four Sundays, Jan. 23 - Feb. 13, 2011, 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.
