Fall Stewardship Program
Be the Light – Grow, Serve, Shine!
A Letter to Our Community
In deep gratitude, we thank you for sharing your abundance in support of the
Center for Spiritual Living – Olympia. You give the meaning to our fall program,
Be the Light: Grow, Serve, Shine!
Thanks to the giving hearts and spirit of our members, this year the Center was
able to reach out into the community, to serve in the Interfaith Works Council,
Crop Walk, Kinship Family, Thurston County Food Bank, and the SideWalk homeless
intake center, to name just a few.
The Center relies on member talents and financial contributions to offer
programs like accredited Science of Mind classes, Sacred Circles book study
groups, Visioning Core, Practitioners for counseling or prayer, a growing
children’s program (which doubled from an average of six children to up to 17
children per week), and special concerts like the Tibetan Singing Bowls and
m-pact.
In the last year, membership grew 15 percent — from 56 to 62 pledged members.
Sunday attendance has grown from 60 guests to more than 90 on average. In 2012,
we want to grow 25 percent to at least 82 members.
As a member, you will have a voice in how the Center for Spiritual Living –
Olympia grows and evolves. Members can vote at the annual membership meeting and
other ballots. You will get a discount on certificated courses and receive a
free, annual spiritual check-up from one of our Practitioners, and more.
We invite you to shine in full participation as a pledged member to expand the
Center’s vision to serve its members and the community in 2012. We ask you to
join with us in commitment to the Center by making a renewing member pledge or
becoming a new member. By committing to a pledge gift, you will consciously
invoke the law of circulation: as you give you will receive.
Your pledge gift will help reach our 2012 budget goal of $140,720:
- Staff committed to promoting programs and events for the Center and community
(minister, accounting and audit services, youth coordinator, sound technician)
- Musicians and song leaders, including special guests
- Building and facilities (annual $22,000 rent)
- Printing and business expenses
- Sound system, audiovisual and media equipment
Our intention is to have at least 62 pledges on file by the end of the
Community
Conversation Café on Saturday, Nov. 12.
Please mail your completed 2012 pledge form
or place in a sealed envelope in the offering
basket or pledge box on Sunday.
Thank you.
In Gratitude, Light, and Abundance,
Sherry Nelson, Council Vice President, 2011 Fall Program Chair
Michael Stuart, Council Treasurer, Pledge Goals Leader
