October 2010: Pathways to Spiritual Living

The Pathways to Spiritual Living series brings us into the changing season and gives a foundation to our annual stewardship campaign.

September 26 - Pathways to Spiritual Living

October 3 - Opening the Doors to the Infinite

October 10 - Rising out of a Material Sense

"No matter where an individual finds himself, he will have found the secret of practical and spiritual living if he will follow a program of spiritualizing thought, and of steadfastly holding thought to God throughout the day. Let your first thought in the morning be a conscious awareness of the Presence of God. Carry that awareness with you throughout the day and when retiring at night. Live in the conscious awareness of God and let that unfold and carry you where it will." ~ Truth for Business and Professional People by Joel Goldsmith

October 17 - Becoming an Instrument of Grace

“Spiritual illumination comes to us in a measure with our first investigation of truth. We believe that we are seeking good, or truth; whereas the light has begun to shine in our consciousness compelling us to take the steps we have since taken. Every increase of our spiritual understanding means more light appearing and dispelling the darkness of sense. This inflow of illumination will continue until we come to the full realization of our true identity as "the light of the world". ~ The Infinite Way by Joel Goldsmith

This week we explore the difference between making God a servant or surrendering to the grace and sufficiency of the Divine. Developing an awareness of all that is already present within us, and surrounding
us, we commit to a practice of giving back to life.

October 24 - Spiritual Supply

October 31 - Walking a Spiritual Pathway

The talk today culminates the six weeks with an opportunity to commit to an ongoing spiritual practice, which is walking a spiritual path in our lives. This Sunday we celebrate the six week program with a special potluck hospitality and party in the lobby after the service.

Everyone is invited to “Come as you truly are ...” meaning to dress as your higher Self, essence self, or divine presence.

Music by Back Porch Swing starts at 10:30 a.m. Bring food to share if you can. For questions about the potluck, please contact Caroline Fenn or call (360) 438-5620.
